Migrating Monarch Butterfly - Taken at Doubletop Mountain Overlook - Milepost 435 - Elevation 5365 feet. Parts of the Parkway are right smack in the middle of the migration path of the Eastern population of the Monarch Butterflies and they can be seen both in spring and in the fall as they come and go from wintering-over grounds in Mexico. There's nothing like it when you're lucky enough to catch them on the move!
